Austin area home sales up 38%!

By David • December 2nd, 2009

The American Statesman reported that homes sales in Central Texas rose 38% in October over last year in October. This information is based partly upon statistics pulled from Austin Board of Realtors. ABOR reported October sales of single family residences in Oct 2009 were 1823 homes compared to 1322 homes sold in Oct 2008. Again, pending home sales are higher year over year with a 47% increase in pending transaction this November over November 2008. Lenders are difficult to work with and that is slowing down home sales. We should think that with BILLIONS of TAXPAYER money being horded by the banks they could at least start lending again to qualified buyers!

The economy is trying to rebound. Now we need the Obamocrats being led by Madam Pelosi and Reid to create an environment so that businesses will create jobs. Working Americans translate into happy homeowners!
